Connecticut College is a highly selective residential liberal arts college particularly known for interdisciplinary studies, international programs, funded internships, strong student-faculty relationships, and service learning. Founded in 1911, the College has an enrollment of about 1,900 men and women representing 41 states, the District of Columbia, and 71 countries. Institutional values include commitment to diversity, academic excellence, shared governance, and environmental sustainability. The College operates under an 86-year-old honor code, has no Greek system, and is a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference. The scenic 750-acre campus overlooks Long Island Sound and is managed as an arboretum.
